Buffalo Steak

(6-8 servings)

Flour 2 lbs buffalo steak, cut 1” thick. Add salt and pepper to both sides. Heat 2 tbsp cooking oil in Dutch oven or casserole.

Brown 1 small, chopped onion in hot oil. Remove onion and brown floured steak on both sides.

Replace onion and add 1/2 can creamed mushroom soup and 1/2 can water. Stir in 1 can (4oz) chopped mushrooms.

Cover and cook in 325 F over for 2.5 hours. Add water if necessary. This may also be cooked on top of the stove at a very low heat. Serve over rice or noodles with pan mushroom sauce.
